  • Citizenship Status: Applicants are Kenya citizens by birth.
  • Denial of Dual Citizenship: They have renounced or lost Kenyan citizenship status and are denied the opportunity by their countries of domicile to hold dual citizenship.
  • Eligibility for Family: Children and spouses of the mentioned applicants are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply:

  • Submission of an application letter.
  • Duly filled Permanent Residence Application Form (Form 23), signed, and stamped by a Magistrate/Commissioner for Oaths.
  • Access and fill Category A - Questionnaire for Intending Applicants during the online application.

  • Applicants who are Kenya citizens by birth but have renounced or lost Kenya citizenship status and are denied the opportunity by their countries of domicile to hold dual citizenship.

Requirements and Fees

Requirements:

  • Proof of Previous Kenya Citizenship:
  • Copy of birth certificate/Identity card or Passport.
  • Photographs:
  • Two recent passport size photographs (soft copy required during application).
  • Police Clearance Certificate:
  • Issued by the country of domicile.
  • Proof of Current Citizenship:
  • Copy of registration/naturalization certificate and passport.
  • Additional Documents:
  • Copy of the Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Copy of the Checklist (downloadable from the provided link).

Fees:

  • Processing fees Ksh 50,000.
  • Issuance fee Ksh 100,000.
