Who Qualifies

  • Possesses the prescribed qualification.
  • Has sufficient capital and resources.
  • Registered with the professional body in their country.
  • Practice will benefit Kenya.

Required Documents

  • Fill and sign the online Form 25.
  • Print the completed form at the end of the application.
  • Two detailed and signed cover letters addressed to the Director of Immigration Services.
  • Copy of a valid national passport.
  • Two recent passport-size colored photos.
  • Current immigration status if in the country.
  • Documents in foreign languages must be translated.
  • Copy of any previous permits or passes.
  • KRA certificate.
  • Company registration certificates.
  • Tax compliance certificate from KRA for renewals.
  • Proof of membership to the prescribed profession.
  • Copies of certified academic and professional certificates.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV).
  • Copy of PIN certificate.

Fees

  • Processing fees (Non-refundable): Kshs. 20,000/=.
  • Issuance Fees (Payable upon approval): Kshs. 250,000/= per year.
  • Payment through the provided online module.
  • East African Community citizens (Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi) are exempt.

  • Security Bond and Security Bond payment receipt to be submitted.

Important Notes

  • Renewal requirement of Tax Compliant Certificate for both employer and applicant.
  • Payments must be made through the provided online module.
  • Knowingly misleading an Immigration Officer is an offense.
  • Notification of approval is void if fees are not paid within 30 days.
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Additional documents may be requested.
  • All East African Community citizens are exempt from certain fees.
  • Employers must report the cessation of employment within 15 days.
