CLASS I : MISSIONARY PERMIT
For New Applications:
1. Authorization:
- Original Authorization Letter for KenyaLink Facilitators Limited (if using their services).
2. Immigration Status:
- Copy of Immigration Status if currently in Kenya.
3. Church Cover Letter:
- Original cover letter from the Church describing its benefits to the country.
- Must be on the Church’s letterhead, stamped with the Church’s official stationery (Kenya Addressed Stamp).
- Addressed to THE DIRECTOR OF IMMIGRATION SERVICES.
- Renewal letters must state the renewal of the applicant’s position, signed, and stamped with the Kenyan Addressed stamp of the Church.
4. Application Form:
- Duly filled and signed Form 25.
- Applicant fills the top section of Part 1; the Church fills Part 1, signs, and stamps with a Kenyan addressed stamp.
5. Passport Documents:
- Copies of the National Passport.
- Two recent passport-size photographs (not older than 6 months).
6. Church Documentation:
- Copy of the registration certificate of the Church.
7. Applicant's Certificates:
- Certified copies of academic and professional certificates of the applicant.
- If not in English, translate and certify by either Embassies or Notary Public.
8 .Fees (For Both New and Renewal Applications):
- Processing fee: KES 5,000 (non-refundable) can be paid in cash.
- Issuance fee: KES 50,000 per Year.
- Payment only after permit approval with a grace period of a month.
9. Security Bond:
- Security Bond and Security Bond receipt to be submitted to Immigration upon payment.

Note
- Renewal requirement of Tax Compliant Certificate for both employer and applicant
- Notification of approval shall be rendered null and void (Regulation 56 of the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Regulations, 2012), if the requisite fee is not paid within 30 days from the date thereof.
- Additional documents may be requested in addition to the listed
- All citizens of the East Africa Community(Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi) are exempt from payment of the processing and permit fee.
- Where the holder of a work permit ceases to engage in the employment in respect of which the work permit was issued, the employer specified in the work permit shall, within fifteen days from the date of such cessation, report, in writing to the director that the holder has ceased to engage in such employment
